Mp3tag Review
Music nerds around the world are touting the merit of Mp3tag. This software lets music listeners add or edit information to MP3 music file ID tags and other digital music files. Once modified, these songs can be saved to a database. Though Mp3tag's functions might not seem so important at first glance, it is a highly handy tool.
Basics
Mp3tag browses the operator's computer hard drive for song files and pulls relevant information in an automatic manner. This music tag editor provides support for a surprising number of file types. It works with MP3s, MPCs, WMAs, APEs, OGGs, AACs, FLACs, WAVs, M4as and WavPack files. Mp3tag's creators also took the time to add a relatively simple media player, allowing users to listen to their music catalog whenever desired.
What Mp3tag Allows Music Fans to Edit
Have you ever wanted to modify the details of your music files? Mp3tag empowers music fans to edit track titles, album names, artist names, year, genre styles and other details. It is accomplished through tapping into the power of the web or by adding one's specific tags. Mp3tag's additional file options also include song duration, encoding, lyrics and the addition of album cover artwork/pictures.
The General Response to Mp3tag
A handful of users complained that the media player is too bare bones and that the interface has a reasonably steep learning curve. However, the vast majority of users are happy with Mp3tag's functionality. The software maintains detailed records of one's digital music collection without any major hiccups. Users laud the software for its ability to quickly and accurately rename files from tags.
Features
Tap into the power of Mp3tag and you will find that you can perform an automated search for lyrics and pictures on your hard drive. There is also support that allows for auto-tag filing. This feature makes life much easier for music listeners who have an abundance of mp3 albums on their computer that lack tags and accurate file names. As an example, plenty of people have mp3 songs on their hard drive labeled with something generic like “03.mp3”. This software examines the track lengths and compares the information to the FreeDB data to pinpoint the proper album from which tags should be imported.
